Welcome Dylan

This week Dylan Kowalczyk joins us as Paid Media Manager. With a wealth of knowledge behind him accumulated from his time at well known agencies in Leeds and at Google, Dylan has joined the team to spearhead our growth in Paid Search and Social.

We already know Dylan pretty well in the office, but for you guys at home...

What do you do at Digital Discovery?

I’m taking care of all things Paid Media. Tending to existing clients and helping to grow our portfolio.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I’m in the process of trying to reclaim my early bird title. Lockdown kind of threw my schedule out the window while everything else remained very much indoors.

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Put down the chicken nuggets. I think they’re contributing to your acne.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

PlayStation and a glass of whisky.

If you could choose a name for yourself, what would it be?

I’d probably change my surname to Smith just to avoid those years of anxiety in early primary school trying to spell my own name.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to give perfect directions when asked by a stranger. Without even flinching. It’d freak people out at first but I’d gradually build up a name for myself.

What’s one song or artist that you’re embarrassed to admit you like?

I wouldn’t say embarrassed to admit but “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak is waaaay up there. I’d say it could be like a legacy song played at my funeral but I think it’d create a really weird vibe. But then I am a weird guy so it’d probably be quiet poetic.

What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?

Reykjavik and Iceland in general. I’ve only been there once in person but I go there a lot in my head when stuck in traffic.

What fictional place would you most like to visit?

Doctor Who Land. If I could get my hands on the Police Box I’d go mental. Though I’d probably still end up in Reykjavik most of the time. But probably just a few years before the invention of the selfie stick.

What is your favourite quote?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Gives you the opportunity to make any clever clogs second guess themselves.

So there you have it, everything you need to know about Dylan.
